What is one suggestion that Anderson provides in relation to how young women should be instructed in a different manner than the ways in which they are currently taught?

While Anderson provides many suggestions over the course of the poetry memoir, one of the strongest lies within the poem “Danuta Danielsson” (214). In the poem, Anderson paints a portrait of a woman who had “snapped” (214) when neo-Nazis had marched into her Swedish town in 1985. Her own mother had survived the horrors of a concentration camp, so the woman had had no patience for the marchers’ message of hate. She hauled off and smacked one of the neo-Nazis in the face with her purse, an act which Anderson views as evidence that perhaps we should teach our young women that “snapping is ok,/instead of waiting/for someone else to break them” (214).
