in around chapter 6 or 7, I am wondering how does Jessie's ma tell her to escape and get to the restroom?

in around chapter 6 or 7, I am wondering how does Jessie's ma tell her to escape and get to the restroom?
Ma tells Jessie to escape through the manhole and go to the bathroom. Once there, she locks the stall and sits on a white chair that Ma had described as a toilet.
