Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, cued by Hamlet's response to the entrance of Claudius, bow with their cloaks swept around them. The two are bowed so low, they do not see when Hamlet walks off in the opposite direction. When they look up, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern find that they are bowing to nothing.
