Who is Gordy Nakagawa from Rogue Warrior and what is their importance?

Gordy Nakagawa is the base commander of the Point Mugu Naval Air Station, close to President Reagan's ranch in Santa Barbara. At first, Nakagawa is enthusiastic about having his base security tested by Richard's Red Cell. Overall, Nakagawa is delighted with the security exercise. However, even in his case there is some embarrassment concerning the testing of security around the Presidential plane.
