Cole Hitchens is the wealthy and extremely attractive best friend of Steven Goode. Cole has been in love with Lexi for three years, and he is the only student at Cedar Cove High who does not bully Lexi. Even after Lexi rejects him, Cole pursues Lexi. Cole is almost killed by Erik, and helps Lexi to dispose of Erik's body. Despite Lexi's being a siren, Cole does not leave. His love for her, and her love for him, breaks the curse of the siren.
