Who is Ted Bandy from Revolutionary Road and what is their importance?

Ted Bandy is Frank Wheeler's boss at Knox Business Machines. An outgoing, back-slapping type, Frank doesn't seem to notice that Frank has done nothing but shuffle papers on his desk for months, but when his sales brochures are a big hit in the company, he thinks Ted is great. As a result, Frank and Bart Pollock try to recruit Ted for a special team to launch a computer team at Knox Business Machines.
