Nick Goode is the spoiled son of a famous English actor. Nick is also the boy, who asked Andi to skip school the day her brother died, therefore he is a constant reminder of that day. Andi likes Nick, and they have a great deal in common, but she finds herself unable to accept his friendship because of the events surrounding her brother's death. At the same time, Nick, like Andi, feels tremendous guilt for his role in Truman's death. Nick continues to reach out to Andi over the course of the novel.
