Who is Karen Driver from Caliban Cove and what is their importance?

Karen Driver is the forensics experts with the S.T.A.R.S. Exeter branch. She is in her early thirties and is tall and lanky with a business-like demeanor. Karen accompanies the mission to Caliban Cove. She always carries her father's grenade from World War II with her for luck, and Rebecca and David are able to use this grenade to kill Dr. Griffith and escape from the airlock. Karen is infected with the T-Virus, and she eventually turns into a zombie and attacks Dr. Thurman.
