How does Lord Provos rearrange the Spiral Garden in Chapter 7?

At the king's command, Lord Provos rearranges the Spiral Garden using his ability as a telky. The structure twists under his command and the garden floor widens into a huge circle. The lower terraces pull back and align with the upper levels. The spiral becomes a cylinder open to the sky. The floor lowers to about 20 feet below the lowest box. The fountains become waterfalls. The platform Mare and the other servants are on moves above the king's box giving them a good view.
