What does Old Al tell Cameron about his mother going to Washington?

Old Al tells Cameron that he always knew Daphne, Cameron's mother, as "Jeanne's hell-raising little sister" (99). He remembers that Daphne ran away from home when she was in high school and went up to Washington. No one knows why. She got into some type of trouble up there. Jeanne had to take off work and drag her sister home.
