Sibyl starts to display some interesting characteristics at the very end of the play. She announces that she thought Elyot's vulgar comment on the dangers of eating foreign food to be funny and teases Victor about not having a sense of humor. More than anything, though, she stands up for herself when Victor starts fighting with her, even slapping him in the face when she feels truly insulted. This might have happened because, as Amanda stated earlier, no one is completely normal on the inside. It is very possible that the tensions of the last few days have finally caught up with her and Sibyl feels free to finally express how she is truly feeling.
