Throughout Act III, Elyot and Amanda both proclaim their hate for each other. However, they are clearly back in love at the end of the act. Did they ever really hate each other? Why or why not?

Elyot and Amanda feel very deeply for each other, which causes scenes of great passion, both negative and positive. Overall, they are never not in love. However, their passion runs so deep that when they bicker so violently, they probably do hate each other at that moment. The hate fades and, when it is gone, love is the only thing left.
