Who is David Brooks from Prey and what is their importance?

David Brooks is a member of the MediaTronics team working at the Xymos fabrication facility. He is with the team in the storage shed when the nanocameras attack and loses his cool. Jack and Rosie attempt to comfort him, but just before they reach the door of the building David panics and runs away. As a result, he is killed by the swarm.
