Ama's name reads the same way whether it is read beginning to end or end to beginning. How is this appropriate to her role in the story?

Ama's name is appropriate to the story because as a character she lives in both worlds.... right on the boundary between the Taiga and the white settlers. In this role she straddles both world, successfully moving between them, in the same way her name can be read from beginning to end or end to beginning.
