Scarpetta Home represents security or false sense of it. Kay Scarpetta lives in a new subdivision in Richmond's west end. The house is large, with a slate roof, and sits on a one acre parcel of land. The view from several of the windows is a wooded lot, adding privacy to the already peaceful neighborhood. The subdivision has security, which makes the residents feel secure in their homes.
