Who is Sweet Jones from Pimp: The Story of My Life and what is their importance?

Another strong male influence in Slim's life, Sweet Jones is the biggest pimp in Chicago. The first time Slim meets Sweet, he is terrified of him, but wants to meet and befriend him so he can become a successful pimp as well. He gets his wish by establishing a relationship with Glass Top, who supplies drugs to Sweet. Glass Top tells Sweet Slim is his cousin. Sweet will eventually take Slim under his wing and tell people Slim is his son. Throughout his career as a pimp, when Slim has a question or problematic situation, he goes to Sweet for advice.
