Steve is Kate's dad. He is more like a child than he is like an adult. Steve loves to play video games. He often leaves his booth at the mall to go to the video game store, grab coffee, go to the movies or any other excuses he can think of. He is always thinking up new ways to try to promote the vitamin booth, but none of them seem to work. Because there is not enough money coming in from the vitamin booth and because Steve refuses to get a job, the family is forced to sell their home and Steve separates from his wife.
