Anna is Kate's best friend since preschool. Anna was overweight up until she went away the summer before freshman year of high school. When Anna comes home, she's skinny, tan, blonde and beautiful. Anna becomes popular and stops being friends with Kate. Anna is always dealing with her mom's issues too. Her mom seems to be depressed because Anna's father left and her mom cannot get a job. Anna tries to be friends with Kate again, but only when the popular girls are not around.
