The point of view of this novel is first person. The author uses two characters to narrate her story and therefore she marks each chapter with the name of the character narrating so that the reader will not grow confused. In using the first-person point of view, the author creates an intimate relationship between the reader and the two main characters, giving insight into the plot that the reader might not have with another point of view.
