Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief

I need to find an argument that I can use based off of the first book of Percy Jackson

so basically i had to choose a book to read for a reading log thing and i didnt want to read one from their own library so i picked on from my house and i found the lightning thief so i was like 'great i can just read this again' except the reason they wanted us to choose a book was so we could write an argumentative essay based on something in to book you choose and how the frick do i find an argument that isnt 'the books are better than the movies' because they already veto'd that

I think a great argument might be centered around Poseidon, and whether or not he was really a thief. Zeus and Poseidon certainly have a conflict, but what circumstances make us, as readers, who are looking in from the outside, believe that he hasn't actually committed a theft?
