What is the author's style in Pacific Vortex by Clive Cussler?

The novel is written in everyday English, which the characters speak clearly and plainly. The reader is not overwhelmed with technical jargon, military jargon or the salty language of the sea. This is why the characters come across as real people and have credibility with the reader.
