I am in a college English class. Writing. Our textbook is called Signs of Life In the USA. I have to do an outline about the first chapter. I have never done an outline before. can someone tell me where to start?

Like most textbooks, I am sure that the chapters have headings. Use the headings to create your main topics for the chapter, and create bullet points that note important information. Formulas vary, but if your teacher hasn't provided you with a formula to follow, you might use;
