Who is Doctor from Ourika: An English Translation and what is their importance?

The Doctor is the woman who treats Ourika at the convent during her illness. She sees that Ourika's illness is caused by depression and encourages her to share the things that have caused her illness. Although, Ourika finally opens up to the dictor and tells her story, the Doctor is unable to save her life.
