What is Metis

Metis is a figure in Greek mythology who is "'a goddess of wise counsel, cunning, craftiness, and wisdom'" (137-138). It is the alias assumed by Kathryn Peterson to remain anonymous as she sends out all-company emails that harshly condemn the company's habitual sexual harassment. The use of the name, plus Kathryn's ability to stay completely anonymous, represents her individual craftiness and intelligence.
