What is the author's style in One: A Novel by Richard Bach?

One by Richard Bach is written in the first person with the narrator being the author. The author is telling of his and his wife's experiences in the alternate world of space time. The experience is spacetime allows the couple to explore issues that are of concern to them and to the author, basically the issues of war and love and the importance of choice.
