Who is Lola?

Lola is Olga and Prieto's aunt, and Blanca's sister. After Blanca abandoned her family, Lola became a significant part of her niece and nephew's lives. She later tells Olga that she never minded being a pseudo mother to them. Helping Johnny raise them gave her the freedom to live how she wanted, while also satisfying her maternal instincts. Although everyone in the family loves Lola, they find her life mysterious. They primarily suspect that she is gay. Olga often wishes that, like Prieto, Lola felt free enough to reveal her identity to her family.
