Of Poseidon by Anna Barnes is written from two different points of view. The first perspective is that of the protagonist, Emma McIntosh. She narrates every other chapter which gives the reader insight as to her thoughts, feelings and motivations. The other chapters are from a third person perspective, limited omniscient. The main male character who is also Emma's love interest, is the focus of most of this narrative allowing the reader to know where he stands in his budding relationship with Emma and how they conflict with his duties as a Syrena prince.
