Explain how Oedipus’s response to the priest reveals a key character trait of Oedipus. (In the first scene)

Oedipus' response, namely that he will do all that the god has revealed and find Laios' killer and punish him reveals his willingness and determination to act for the good of his people. As a result, the priest realizes that he, and the delegation, have accomplished what they came for, and leave.
