Who is Tansy Lane from No Humans Involved and what is their importance?

Tansy Lane is a ghost, who was once an actress. She is described as having pale skin, long black hair, and copper eyes. She got the role in Lily White because of the way she looked. Producers thought she looked exotic. Her mother used to say that her dad was Italian although he was black. He died in Vietnam and his parents spread the story that about his Italian background. She is a natural comedic performer and can entertain the crowd with anecdotes until everybody listens to her. Tansy doesn't seem to know who killed her, although she later admits to Jaime that it was her friend who shot her while they were drunk playing with a gun.
