In "Night of the Living Rez," a white film crew drives a van around the reservation as they attempt to shoot a documentary there. The film crew seems disinterested and disrespectful toward David and the other residents of the reservation until Frick attempts to assault Paige, at which point they are there immediately and begin filming. The crew symbolizes white attitudes toward Native peoples in general: they are indifferent until something unpleasant, sensational, or tragic occurs, at which point they attempt to capture and exploit Native experiences for their own artistic purposes.
