What is the author's style in Night Prey by John Sandford?

The novel Night Prey is written in the third person. This is extremely helpful to the reader as events take place quickly and the writer follows the actions of several characters, changing from one to the other frequently. As the reader is able to understand the thoughts, feelings and motivations of the characters, there is very little confusion while reading the novel.
