Once Sam's home was done, what did he do on warm evenings?

Once Sam finished his home, he would lie on his stomach and look out the door. He would listen to the frogs and nighthawks, and he would hope that it would storm so he could crawl into his tree and be dry. He had experienced downpours when he was building and looked forward to being warm and dry.
