Who is Random from Mostly Harmless and what is their importance?

Random is Arthur and Trillian's daughter. Technically, she in only ten-years-old, but her contant traveling causes her to age quickly. She is described as being temperamental, and she dislikes her mother. Random's greatest desire is to fit in and have a place to call home.
