What does Abilene discover about her father in the closing pages of the novel, Moon Over Manifest?

In the novel's closing pages, Abilene discovers that her father, Gideon, is actually Jinx. She discovers that Jinx believed Ned's death to be his fault, and that he has been running ever since. In the end, Abilene convinces her father to come to her in Manifest, their one true home.
