Where does Moran go to seek refuge in the novel, Molloy?

Moran's garden symbolizes his escape from the world and functions as his ultimate refuge: his narrative begins in the garden, where his peace is disrupted by Gaber, and it ends there. While Moran seems to have all of the comforts of a bourgeois life, it is only in his garden that he expresses somewhat of a peaceful disposition.
