what is the tone in the film, minority report?

I really like this film. Although this movie is meant to be a thriller of sorts, it has a dystopian type of edge to it. The way humans go about "predicting the future" has a dark side that always is felt desire the action sequences Tom Cruise is in. There is a depressing feeling to the themes of enslavement and human nature that permeate the picture.
