Who is Sister Maria?

Like Josephine, Maria helped nurse Evelyn out of her alcoholism, and helped found Mercy House. She is described as quite large, and gets hot quickly. She is much more outwardly emotional than the other two nuns, and is also incredibly affectionate. She is often seen in the kitchen cooking or baking. While it was Evelyn’s idea, Maria came up with the name for the Great I Am meetings. She is a timid, yet devoted person. She practices Reiki massage on the house residents, both for their spiritual health and to allow the residents to feel a positive, non-demanding touch.
