Who is Graham MacPhee from Mercy and what is their importance?

Graham MacPhee is Jamie's lawyer. Graham is a young, untested lawyer who has never handled a trial case before. Graham is hired by Cam and sworn to secrecy. Graham works hard on the case, determined to do well not only because of his career, but to prove to Cam and his father that he can handle things. Graham has many choices as to the defense to present, such as temporary insanity and euthanasia, but is getting little input from his client. Jamie believes that he will go to jail no matter what defense he mounts, so he does not care. Graham decides on temporary insanity, because he does not feel that this is the appropriate case to attempt to change the state laws.
