Who is Alice Leeds from Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac and what is their importance?

Alice Leeds is the first person that Naomi recognizes when she returns to school after her amnesia. The reason Naomi remembers Alice is because Alice and Naomi were friends in elementary school. Alice produces a play and asks Naomi to try out for it. During the play, Naomi and Alice become close friends again. Alice is also bisexual. Her girlfriend at the time of the play and on and off throughout the novel is Yvette, who is also the costume designer for the play.
