(Request Clarification) Which page(s) are you referring to re: screenplay format in this novel? When Greg uses the screenplay format narrative in the book?

To clarify my former question thread, I'm referring to the novel. Correct me if I'm wrong, It seemed like in the book, the initial phone conversation between Greg and Rachel in Chapter 6 or Greg's conversation with his mom after Rachel died in Chapter 39 was written in regular prose format, not the screenplay format. So, I'm not sure if Greg uses the screenplay format narratives in the emotional situations or not. Would you please clarify?
