Jeb Batchelder from Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment was a former worker at the institution where the flock had been and escaped with Jeb's help. He raised and fostered them then randomly dissapeared, the flock feared he had died but later on it is shown that he had gone backto work for the "school".
