What is the theme in Matched by Ally Condie?

Love is a very important theme in the story. As the story opens, Cassia is on her way to a banquet to find out who her life is going to be linked with. Society determines who the best Match for each individual is and they discover this in the year following their 17th birthday. They get to know their significant other by getting information off microchips and having meetings with their Match before they are truly united.
