What is the author's style in Match Me If You Can by Susan Elizabeth Phillips?

The language is modern and easy to read. The dialogue is real and always used to move the plot and sub-plots forward. Humor is obvious for much of the book. The action between Heath and Annabelle has a great deal of humor in it. Annabelle often uses her humor to make Heath more human. She might fall in love with him but she doesn't worship him. The humor also cuts the legs under the very successful people who don't seem to be able to see any success but success their way.
