Who is Cilla from March and what is their importance?

Cilla is a small, young, black child at Oak Landing. She reminds March of his daughters back home in Concord. When March initially meets Cilla, she is ecstatic to hear that he is a teacher, and she goes onto prove herself to be an eager and brilliant student.
