The novel is split into 57 chapters and each one is titled by an event that happens within the chapter. This includes titles such as “A Cheetah Runs Me Over” for Chapter Four and “We Nuke All the Fish” for Chapter 26. These are meant to entice the audience to keep reading through humor and also becomes a type of outline for the novel itself. Furthermore, the story is told in a linear fashion following Magnus and his friends on their adventures from leaving Valhalla to travelling many of the Nine Worlds in their attempt to retrieve Thor’s hammer.
