Describe Paul’s relationship with Rosie.

Rosie is Paul's girlfriend during school, and they later get married. Initially, Paul finds Rosie annoying, but as they get older and get to know each other, he becomes entranced by her. Rosie and Paul remain a couple throughout school and university, and when Rosie goes to Melbourne to study medicine, Paul spends his school holidays with her.
