What is Alamo?

Alamo is the name that Smith gives to her bungalow on Rockaway Beach. Though it was in a state of disrepair, she bought it because it caught her attention. She enjoyed the quiet, slow atmosphere at Rockaway and worked all of one summer in order to buy the house. It was severely damaged during Hurricane Sandy, though it still stood afterwards. When Smith last wrote about it, the bungalow had a large yard and was being renovated.
