Who is Isaac from the memoir, Lost & Found?

Isaac is the narrator's father. He was born in Tel Aviv, Palestine, to a mother who escaped the Nazi Germany occupation of Poland, after which, his family moved to Germany, and then eventually to the United States. Isaac is describes as an extremely intelligent and gregarious, loving father.
