In the Lord Of the Flies Explain the love-hate relationship between Jack and Ralph.

Early on, there is a power struggle between the two but there is also a sense of respect. They see each other's qualities; they are character foils. As the novel goes on, Jack becomes increasingly obsessive and erratic in his behaviour. Any respect they had for each other dissipates.
