Quarrel is a Cayman Islander hired to help Bond train for his assault on The Isle of Surprise. He is an expert swimmer and fisherman and is a great help to Bond. Quarrel pulls Bond and Solitare from the sea at the end of the novel following the destruction of Mr. Big's yacht.
